Dinara Yangeldina

Dinara Yangeldina is working within post-soviet cultural studies, and race and ethnicity research, among other things. Her research interests include Russian hip-hop, popular culture, music and digital media, translation, racialization, and de/post-coloniality, feminist and ethnic minority activism. Her doctoral dissertation The Politics of Racial Translation: Negotiating Foreignness and Authenticity in Russophone Online Intersectional Feminism and Timati’s Hip-hop (2012-2018), is dedicated to the travel and translation of the idiom ‘race as resistance’ in Russian-language discourses.
