Maša Bešlin
is a PhD student in Linguistics at the University of Maryland. Her research is primarily in (morpho)syntax, though she occasionally dabbles in semantics. She has worked on a variety of topics including mixed categories, raising, inter- and intra-linguistic variation in the size of nominal phrases and its repercussions (the NP/DP debate), bare-NP adverbials, and the interplay of telicity, event complexity and grammatical aspect. Her empirical focus is on the Slavic and Mayan language families.
