Gregory Lella

is a PhD Candidate in Stony Brook University’s Department of History who specializes in carceral history, Latinx studies, immigration history, and Indigenous studies. His forthcoming dissertation, entitled “Their Job is to Deport Me:” Policing Latinx and Indigenous People in Arizona, 1964 to the Present, examines how police brutality and mass incarceration affected Latinx and Native American communities in southern Arizona.
