Carlos de Cuba

Carlos de Cuba has a PhD in Linguistics and an MA in TESOL, both from Stony Brook University. He has taught at Stony Brook University, Pomona College, The University of Calgary and CUNY Queens College. He is currently an Associate Professor in Speech Communication in the Department of Communications & Performing Arts at Kingsborough Community College, teaching linguistics and speech communication courses. His research interests lie in the areas of theoretical and applied linguistics. Carlos is committed to the goal of equity in the classroom, and his work in this area focuses on issues of language ideology and language policy in the classroom.
