Maria Falikman is a habilitated Doctor of Psychology and Professor of Psychology. After having worked as a faculty member at Lomonosov Moscow State University (Department of Psychology, 2002-2010, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, 2011-2017), she served as a head of the School of Psychology at the HSE University in Moscow from 2017 to 2021. She has authored a handbook and a monograph on the psychology of attention and a number of peer-reviewed papers and chapters in cognitive and cultural-historical psychology an has edited four volumes in cognitive and general psychology. Her hobbies include poetry and poetry (as well as prose and drama) translation. She is a member of PEN International (PEN Moscow Centre), the Moscow Writers Union, and the Masters of Literary Translation Guild.
