Diana Fox is University Director at the Institute for Gender and Development Studies at the Regional Headquarters of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and Professor at Bridgewater State University. She is a cultural and applied anthropologist, decolonial feminist scholar-activist, and documentary film producer. Her work has focused on the Anglophone Caribbean, particularly Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago where her scholar-activism had focused on issues of gender justice and sexuality, Indigenous Peoples’ resilience, Indigenous women’s knowledges, women’s social movement activism for ecological sustainability, women's human rights and transnational feminisms. Since 2015, her fieldwork and scholar-activism has expanded women’s issues in Asia, particularly Nepal and Japan. She is the Founder and Editor of the open access, online Journal of International Women’s Studies.
