Marsel Ganeyev Independent Scholar

Marsel Ganeyev in a Tatar language queer activist from Kazakhstan. He is trying to consolidate both Queer and Kazakh/Tatar aspects of his work in his article and projects. Currently, Marsel in employed in his PhD work in medical science, mostly working with biomaterial associated infections and material science. As an activist his is running a QaraMagan project which is intended to promote usage of Kazakh language in queer community of Kazakhstan. These are the series of 10-12 minutes interviews in Russian or Kazakh (supported with subtitles). Also, as a part of his activist Marsel is giving lectures on language policies and contemporary language identity tendencies within Tatarstan and Kazakhstan spaces.
