Markus Pöchtrager
Markus Pöchtrager received his PhD in General Linguistics at the University of Vienna in 2006. From 2008 till 2017 he was a faculty member at the department of linguistics at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, and since 2017 he has been back at his alma mater, the University of Vienna, and works as a phonologist at the department of linguistics and the MediaLab of the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies. His research focuses on phonology, phonological metatheory, phonology-morphology interaction, linguistics as a cognitive science, Finno-Ugric & Scandinavian languages, Turkic, Caucasian languages.
