Nikolay Karkov
Nikolay Karkov is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the State University of New York at Cortland. His research explores the discourses and practices of state socialism, and also conversations and collaborations between Eastern Europe and the global South. He is co-editor of special issues on socialist modernity and the global South, "state feminisms" in Southeastern Europe, and decolonial theory, and has also co-edited an anthology of autonomist Marxist writing (in Bulgarian). Most recently, he has published in Dissonancia: A Journal of Critical Theory, Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies, Slavic Review, and Deleuze Studies. He is a member of New Left Perspectives, and holds a PhD in philosophy from SUNY Binghamton.
