Masha (Maria) Esipova* (she or they) is a postdoctoral researcher in linguistics at the University of Konstanz, working on semantics and its interfaces. Their current and recent research topics include: interrogatives and exclamatives at the interfaces; performative expression of meaning; various aspects of the at-issue vs. not-at-issue distinction; the syntax–semantics–pragmatics of event and situation descriptions; and meaning–form mappings beyond language. In their spare time, they like to lift heavy objects and climb walls. They hold a PhD in Linguistics from New York University. *NYI alumn!
