Alex Chabot is a phonologist at the University of Maryland. His main research interests are in formal theories of phonology, with particular emphasis on the nature of the representations and computations used by phonologists. Other active research areas include the architecture of phonology and its status relative to phonetics and morphosyntax, as well as phonological knowledge and its correlates in neurobiological activity. He received his PhD from the Université Côte d'Azur in 2021.
