Saule Tuganbaeva
Saulé Tuganbaeva is a PhD student in linguistics at the University of Chicago. She works in sign language linguistics, mainly interested in nonmanuals. Before that she spent 20 years working as a conference interpreter (Russian/English). Beyond her MA in linguistics from UChicago and professional degree in simultaneous interpretation, she holds an MA in mathematics from Moscow State University. She loves photography and open water swimming.
