Cult B: Utopia, visuality, temporality

Focusing on several visual archives (the photographs of the Non-Aligned Movement, the newspaper photographs of the Cuban program for Soviet children suffering from consequences of Chernobyl catastrophe, the photographs of Slovenian journalists who visited Cuba in 1978) depicting various aspects of socialist projects and international solidarity, this course asks about or (in)capabilities to see lost utopias and their future promises from our own present.
