Ling C: Introduction to Morphology

The course will study the rules for composing words and sentences from the smallest meaningful units of linguistic combination: the "morphemes". The two main problems in morphology concern the order of morphemes, and the influence that morphemes have on each other's pronunciations. The course does not presuppose any background in linguistics.
