Ling K / Cog C: Reduplication and the Linguistic Architecture (advanced!)

The focus will be on how to handle reduplication. We will explore his framework which uses Precedence Relations - and ask (a) How these compare to other approaches (Marantz templates and OT models) (b) What parts of the representations are subject to precedence, and (c) How well they can fit into a syntax to phonology mapping that is: modular, item-and-arrangement and fully concatenative.
