Workshop F: Emoji and Symbolic Language Morphosyntax (also Ling M / Cog D)

In this workshop I want to explore idea I have been developing about the morphosyntax of emojis when they occupy a syntactically projected position in a sentence. These are examples such as 'I ❤️ NYI'. I am interested in gathering data from a wide variety of languages and also exploring the potential connections that this research has to other forms of symbolic language.
