Ling/Cog G: Topics in Music Cognition: Expertise, Memory, and Emotion

This class will provide an introduction to music cognition. In particular, we will discuss: (1) what kind of expertise people have with regard to a variety of musical abilities, (2) research findings on musical memory and how musical memory works, and (3) connections between emotion and music.
