Seminar: Cult H: Covering vulnerable and underrepresented populations in international journalism

In this workshop, you will learn the rudiments of classical journalism (newsworthiness, journalistic objectivity, lead writing), as well as those of more "activist" writing (op-eds, explanatory features) and new media. We will discuss the practical difficulties, the promise, and the ethics of employing journalistic tools to transparently and fairly advance an ideological agenda.
